AI-assisted branding and landing page design for a fictional medical SaaS company.
Introduction
Nexura is a fictional AI-powered neurology diagnostics platform, created as a portfolio project to demonstrate how AI tools can accelerate a professional design workflow — without replacing the designer’s judgment.
I designed the landing page structure and layout in Figma from scratch, then used Claude and Adobe Firefly as collaborators at specific stages of the process — brand strategy, visual identity, copywriting, and image generation.
The Challenge
The project needed to:
- Create a convincing, original brand identity without a client brief or existing assets.
- Show a clear, repeatable AI-assisted workflow that a hiring team or client could understand.
- Demonstrate how AI tools fit into a professional design process — not as a shortcut, but as a collaborator.
Solution
Brand Strategy
- Used Claude to define the company concept, positioning, and target audience.
- Chose Nexura — AI neurology diagnostics — from three proposed directions based on visual potential and market relevance.
- Claude produced a full brand direction document covering colour palette, typography, tone of voice, and UI component rules.
Visual Identity
- Directed Claude to generate an SVG logo concept — a synaptic neural node mark that encodes both the letter N and the idea of connected neural pathways.
- Used Adobe Firefly to generate the hero image and feature card visuals, using targeted prompts to stay on-brand.
- All image generation was guided by art direction decisions made upfront: dark clinical tones, high contrast, no generic stock aesthetics.
Copy & Messaging
- All landing page copy — headline, hero body text, six feature card descriptions, CTA labels, and demo section — was developed through Claude using the brand direction as a reference.
- Every line was reviewed, edited, and approved before going into Figma.
Figma Execution
- Built the full page layout in Figma, designing all components and applying the brand identity consistently throughout.
- Colour system based on Electric Teal (
#00C2C7) and Deep Navy (#0A1628), with a clean Light Slate card system.
AI Tools Used
Claude (Anthropic) Used as a strategic thinking partner. Most valuable at the brand strategy and copywriting stages — where solo designers typically spend the most unproductive time.
Outputs: brand direction PDF, full landing page copy, SVG logo with 5 variants, Figma component specs.
Adobe Firefly Used for all photography and visual assets. Firefly’s commercially safe generation and Creative Cloud integration made it the right fit for clinical, on-brand imagery.
Outputs: hero image, 6 feature card visuals, consistent visual language across all assets.
My Contribution
- Defined the creative brief and directed all AI tools throughout the process.
- Made all brand, layout, and visual decisions — AI accelerated execution, not strategy.
- Built the full landing page in Figma, from component design to final layout.
- Documented the workflow into a brand direction PDF and this case study.
What I Learned
AI tools are most useful when you already know what you want. The quality of the brief I gave Claude directly determined the quality of what came back. The workflow also confirmed something I’d suspected: the bottleneck for solo designers isn’t the design itself — it’s everything that has to happen before you open Figma. That’s where AI makes the biggest difference.
Results
- A complete, coherent brand identity built faster than any solo project I’ve done previously.
- A clear, documented process that demonstrates AI tool fluency to potential clients and employers.
- A reusable workflow template applicable to any future landing page project.
